You may have noticed a lack of posts lately here, and there are some good reasons behind us going quiet. The largest of these is considerable movement on several fronts within Crowfall’s development. Individually these changes would have warranted extensive research, but jointly they pose serious questions as to how all of the systems are coming together. Due to announcements by the developers and several discovered bugs by our own internal research teams, we’ve opted to take a few weeks off to wait until things have calmed down some.
There is nothing worse than writing an in-depth article about a tradeskill, then to have the entire math behind it changed the subsequent week. We experienced just that with changes to the gathering system (a fantastic and much needed change), coupled with some glaring bugs within the system that prevented us from gathering Minerals. To this date, we’ve been unable to create or experiment extensively with the Vessel system despite Necromancy being introduced over a month ago into the pre-alpha.
As things are now about to settle back down, and the glaring bugs with the systems we are most interested in resolved, it’s time to resume our writing.
This site is not about generating fluff content, however, and so we’d like to restate our commitment to quality over quantity. You will not find fluff pieces here, only in depth research and theorycrafting.
In the coming weeks, expect updated posts and infographics detailing all of the changes that gathering has made easier (or more difficult) for everyone in Crowfall. Additionally we plan to continue to support video content creators on this site, by showcasing videos they want highlighted in the community. Please check them out and support them!
